Five Day 1 Qualifying Sessions Remain for Grosvenor Casinos’ Goliath Tournament Main Event

The Grosvenor Casinos’ Goliath tournament series are having their sixth annual edition, which began on July 28th with the 25/50 Flight A event. Still, players who would like to participate in the tournament and try their luck still have some time to qualify for a seat into the tour’s prestigious £120 Buy-in Main Event.

The latter will have its final at the end of the week – on Sunday, August 7th. The main event final will take place at the Grosvenor Casino Goventry. More than 5,000 entrants are currently expected to take part in the competition in the Main Event, which cash prize for the winner is also possible to beat the last year’s prize of £70,800 which was taken home by the Finnish poker player Miikka Toikka.

Regardless of the fact that the tournament started on July 28th, there are still five Day 1 qualifying sessions remaining, which provides players with the chance to re-enter twice a day if they want to take part in the event. This basically means that any poker player who busted out at an early stage, could take advantage of the re-enter qualifying sessions on each day remaining.

It seems that the entrants for this year’s Main event will surpass the number of poker players who took part in the same event one year ago. In comparison, a total of 2,764 unique entries were made during the 2015 Goliath Main Event. These players, combined with the 1,446 re-entrants generated an overall players’ base of 4,210.

In addition, the total prize pool offered over the 2015 Goliath Main Event amounted to £421,000 which pretty well surpassed the guaranteed prize of £250,000 and offered truly massive prize chunks to the players who decided to took part in the tournament.

So, if there are still players who are looking to secure a seat for themselves at the Goliath Main Event, can take advantage of the opportunity to take part in any of the remaining Day 1 action qualifiers that are available live at all Grosvenor Casinos in the UK as well as online. The last day of the tournament – August 7th – is to host a total of three events, including the Main Event.
