bet365 Reveals Massive Revenue Increase over the Last Year

The UK online gambling company bet365 has revealed that its operations have generated a massive revenue increase over the last 12 months. The Stoke-on-Trent-based operator revealed another year of staggering growth and fantastic performance on the market.

In other words, bet365 which is currently among the leading online gambling operators both in the UK and on a global scale continued its successful performance on the market over the recent fiscal year. What is even more interesting is the fact that the gambling and sports betting provider is currently a privately-held company and it is practically not obliged to make its financial reports public, but the company did so after all.

Earlier in 2016, bet365 moved its operations in Stoke-on-Trent in a new headquarters building located in Forge Lane, Etruria. In addition, the operator’s first satelite office was established in Manchester, with this resulting in 70 new jobs being created.

According to a report released by the casino and betting giant, the revenue generated over the last year managed to reach the mind-blowing £1.65 billion.

This is a fantastic result and definitely a strong growth over the period until March 27th in comparison to the previous year’s result estimated to £1.57 billion. But that is not all. bet365 also managed to post an operating profit growth, which increased from £406 million a year ago to £456 million. In addition, the pre-tax profit of the gambling and sports betting provider increased from £409 million to £459 million.

As the UK-based company revealed in its latest report, the money wagered by its customers over the period amounted to £36.9 billion. In comparison, the customers’ wagers in the prior year period were lower by at least £2.3 million.

The operator, which is owned by the Coates family, also reported that it has created new jobs, too. The total number of employees working there rose from 3,179 last year to 3,404 over the period ended on March 27th. This was reported as an addition to the 297 casual match-day employees who became part of the company over the above-mentioned period.

The Chief Executive Officer of Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce Sara Williams has commented on the operator’s excellent performance over the period, saying that bet365 should never be underestimated for its stability and strength as one of the largest local employers, especially considering the fact that it maintains over 3,000 to date. Mrs. Williams also said that bet365 had become a leading company in the gambling industry, and the successful performance of the operator was a “good news” for the region of Stoke-on-Trent.
