GVC Holdings to Launch NYX OGS at bwin

NYX Gaming, a market leader in supplying online sports betting, casino, lottery and bingo solutions, announced it has decided to extend its partnership with key provider of B2B and B2C services GVC Holdings. According to the terms of the agreement, the partnership will be extended through NYX Gaming’s proprietary Open Gaming System (OGS) and its associated content.

NYX Gaming’s game aggregation server is to be utilised by the online casino and sports betting operator bwin, which is among the most well-known brands operated by GVC Holdings, alongside other notable names the likes of partypoker, partycasino, Sportingbet, and Foxy Bingo.

GVC Holdings has obtained licenses to legally offer its services to players from over eighteen countries. Thus, the partnership with GVC Holdings would enable NYX Gaming to further expand its market reach so that its gaming content becomes available to customers in more regulated territories. Some of these regulated countries include Spain, Italy, and New Jersey, where GVC Holdings offers its online gaming platform to the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa.

This is hardly the first time the two leading companies agree on a partnership. Back in 2014, GVC Holdings signed a deal with NYX Gaming which enabled the multinational sports betting and gaming Group to adopt NYX’s OPS (Open Platform System) on some of its gaming brands, including online sports betting and gambling operator Sportingbet.

Following the partnership’s extension, GVC Holdings will be able to expand the range of content it takes by adopting the award-winning NYX OGS. GVC Holdings plans on utilising the cutting-edge open gaming system to enhance the casino and games, offered by one of its most prominent brands, bwin. The latter is among the flag-ship sports betting brands of GVC Holdings. In 2016, bwin generated as much as €654 million out of GVC Holdings’ total €895 million net gaming revenue on a pro forma basis, together with other sports betting brands operated by the Group.

The integration of the open gaming system would grant bwin access to a massive gaming collection that spans over 1,000 titles. These are courtesy of NYX’s leading studio NextGen Gaming and over forty other third-party studios that have gained recognition in the online gaming industry.

David Flynn, Chief Commercial Officer of NYX Gaming, complimented GVC Holdings for being true leaders in the online gambling industry and described the company’s strategy for growth and business development as “impressive”. Flynn emphasised the importance of extending GVC Holdings’ partnership with NYX and the vital role it would play in the future success of the two companies.

Liron Snir, Chief Product Officer at GVC Holdings referred to the partnership extension as “another big step” for GVC toward its objective of offering players the best casino in the industry. Snir finished by saying NYX Gaming are a premium software developer and expressed his satisfaction of being able to offer their hugely popular gaming titles to GVC’s player-base.
