Premier Punt Reveals Single DFS and Sports Betting Platform

The Scottish Daily Fantasy Sports operator Premier Punt has officially announced the beginning of the first phase of its new innovation – a product that combines sports betting and fantasy sports betting options in a single platform.

The Chief Executive Officer of Premier Punt John Gordon described the new platform as the latest development in the DFS industry and shared that everyone at the operator’s team were very happy with the fact they managed to start working on a one-of-a-kind Daily Fantasy Sportsbook Application.

According to Mr. Gordon, the new Daily Fantasy Sportsbook Application would help the company greatly boost its player value and at the same make sure that players would be conveniently left with the chance to place their bets on sports and daily fantasy sports. Premier Punt’s Chief Executive Officer also explained that their innovation would have a positive impact on the DFS and Sports Betting industry not only in the UK, but also across Europe.

As revealed by the Edinburgh-based Daily Fantasy Sports operator, the new product is to provide players with the chance to wager on both DFS and sports events. At the new application platform, users would be able to select their DFS teams as normal, but an additional option is also available. Players would be able to choose traditional sports bets which would be based on the players DFS team selection.

Currently, Premier Punt owns a pool betting licence for the Daily Fantasy Sports products it offers. The UK-based operator has also recently been granted with a sports betting licence from the country’s gaming regulatory body – the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC), which allowed it to make the first steps towards creating their new product.

The newly-received licence provides the company with the chance to offer traditional sports betting services to its customers along with the DFS offering. What is new is the operator’s attempt to combine the two services within the same platform and wallet. It has been a Premier Punt’s belief that the combination of the two options on a single-wallet platform is the next logical step in the industry’s development. Still, the company explained that they do not expect the major Daily Fantasy Sports companies to follow the new trend any time soon.

According to CEO Gordon, the large US companies have to be sure that Daily Fantasy Sports are still considered a game of skill before following them and try to combine the two services on a single platform. However, he believes that Premier Punt’s approach and new business model would turn to be successful in the market, especially considering that the DFS players value to the market is described as quite low.

The Edinburgh-based operators has joined forces with the Isle of Man-based Offshore Customer Software Solutions, a famous sportsbook supplier, which is considered as one of the best in the business. The partnership would guarantee qualitative solutions for Premier Punt’s customers and would make sure the new platform runs smoothly and quickly.
