LeoVegas to Expand Its Denmark Offering by Adding LeoVegas Sport Brand

At the end of last week, the leading mobile gaming operator LeoVegas revealed that the official launch of its LeoVegas Sport service on the territory of Denmark. The Sports service of the gaming provider is to supply local customers with betting and live betting options, following the Danish license for sports betting that the company has been granted with by the country’s competent regulatory authorities.

Under its sports betting license, LeoVegas will be able to offer around 100,000 betting games on a daily basis, involving over 40 different sports on the territory of the country.

The Chief Executive Officer of LeoVegas Group, Gustaf Hagman, shared that the casino content release of the brand had been great success for the brand, which had managed to get established as a reputable brand in Denmark. The boss of the company also explained that the brand’s management team saw real growth potential for Sports that would help LeoVegas bolster its presence in the Danish market. He further revealed that the brand’s main goal was to offer the fastest and best gaming experience to local players.

The Group’s Chief Executive Officver also explained that another niche that the brand had invested into was the Live Casino offering, which was one of the brands with the widest product range and exclusive content.

According to the company’s team, the launch of LeoVegas Sport content comes with a perfect timing, as it was held right ahead of the start of the Danish Superligaen, which is scheduled for July 14th. The beginning of the Denmark’s highest division for Football plus some other football leagues and other sporting events are expected to make players more active.

The sports license provided to the company by the local regulatory authority is expected to further bolster the position of LeoVegas as a leading gaming operator that seeks to expand its presence in the regulated markets of Europe and beyond. Apart from the operating license received in Denmark, the brand currently owns operating licenses in the UK, Ireland, Malta and Italy.

At the beginning of October 2016, the mobile gaming provider officially revealed that it had been granted with its first-ever gaming license in Denmark, with the local authorities providing the brand with the chance to expand into a locally-regulated market. At that time, the company revealed that it had been interested in boosting its presence across more regulated gaming markets, in order to seek even larger long-term growth. Two months later, in December 2016, LeoVegas said that the pre-launch planning period had gone according to plan and the official launch had then been initiated.

Later, at the time when the brand released its financial results for the first fiscal quarter of 2017, the operator explained that its extremely successful performance over the first three months of 2017 was boosted by the its operations’ launch in Denmark.
