Leeds’ Victoria Gate Casino Reveals Great Performance over First Six Months of Operation

Only six months after Victoria Gate Casino, the third-largest casino in the UK, started operating in the city centre of Leeds, it has managed to impress everyone with an excellent performance.

The Victoria Gate Casino’s Venue Director, Patrick Noakes, commented that the venue’s team was very proud with the success and achievements of the casino, describing the latter as one of the best venues in the north beyond any doubt.

The casino venue, which is situated right above the new shopping centre in Leeds’ city centre, has registered an exclusive interest towards the games offered. As revealed by the Victoria Gate Casino, the 131 slot machines located in the venue has seen their buttons pressed about 20 million times. On the other hand, players seemed to be quite attracted by the game of roulette, with roulette balls being released 1.5 million times.

Still, casino games have not been the only reason why the venue registered success. It turned out that the dining and bar areas have also attracted many visitors, especially considering the fact that they are open 24 hours a day.

According to the casino’s director Mr. Noakes, such a large venue that is open 24 hours a day all year long except on the Christmas Day, means a lot of hard work from the entire team. Apart from praising everyone who works in the venue for their efforts in making the casino so successful, Mr. Noakes also shared that the Victoria Gate’s team was impatient to see the next phase of the venue’s development, with new chefs, menus and complimentary food offers to be introduced to the customers.

The casino’s construction price was estimated to £30 million. Thanks to the gaming venue project, more than 200 new jobs were created in the region, with over 1,000 people who have applied.

It was in 2013 when Global Gaming Ventures, the owner of Victoria Gate casino venue, officially revealed that the licensing committee of the Leeds City Council provided it with a provisional statement of a casino license. Under this license, Global Gaming Ventures was allowed to establish a large new casino as part of the development scheme of Victoria Gate.

Back in October 2016, the owners of the venue officially revealed that the development process of Victoria Gate Casino had already started. At that time, Global Gaming Venues announced that the exclusive new casino would open doors in Leeds in 2017.

The super casino was planned as the third largest retail casino in the UK, with overall capacity of 1,400 people. At the time when the official announcement of the owners was made, it became clear that the gaming venue was planned to be situated on 50,000 square feet, making it the first casino of such size located in the country’s northern territory.
