ProgressPlay Suffers ASA’s Backlash for Offensive Promotional Tweet

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) scolded one of the brands of the gaming operator ProgressPlay for an offensive promotional tweet posted on September 8th, 2017. The tweet displayed a picture of several women dressed in swimwear and text, saying “You can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig. #LooseWomen18”. The Florida Seminole Tribe has started a legal action against a number of operators that run “electronic gambling parlors” across Duval County. The lawsuit filed by the local Indian tribe comes as a result of its allegations that such parlors breaching the exclusive right of the Tribe to offer casino-style gambling.
