At the beginning of 2023, it is interesting to reflect on the events that have taken place in politics in 2022 and how they shaped life in the UK. The upheaval in Parliament and changes made to party leadership have been turbulent. But political agendas aside, we are taking a look at the male members of Parliament, to ask the important question – who is the most attractive?
Compared to issues such as inflation or cost of living, politicians’ physical appearance may not be as significant. Yet, trust and confidence in those in power are often based on first impressions, however inaccurate they might be. Looks, though deceiving sometimes, matter, so we at CasinoGuardian decided to analyse the physical appearance of the most notable politicians in the UK right now. We decided to focus only on men since, for better or for worse, the majority of MPs and House of Lords peers are men, gender balance statistics show. So, to come up with this list of the best-looking male UK politicians, we have compared attributes like height, appearance, smile, and intellect.
1. Johnny Mercer
The conservative politician and ex-Army officer Johnny Mercer, is the epitome of tall, dark, and handsome. As a regular exerciser, he works out frequently to remain in good shape, with a strong physique combined with a 6 foot 3 frame.
He is relatively young when compared to many other politicians and this vibrancy combined with his dynamic, positive outlook are all charming facets of Johnny’s personality. With good looks, an Army career, and a promising future in politics, he is the whole package.

The ex-labor party leader was famously quoted as saying that ‘he looked like Wallace’ of Wallace and Gromit animated films, and the comment stemmed from the famous bacon sandwich incident that spawned hundreds of online memes.
Ed is reasonably tall and keeps in good shape which helps him to look younger than his actual years. He is a politician who always looks good in photos or on TV appearances, and his dark, slightly wavy hair gives him a casual, friendly, and approachable look.

Jeremy is in his 70s which makes him one of the oldest politicians on this list. But he clearly possesses some attributes which make him attractive to the opposite sex as Jeremy has been married three times.
A quick-minded and avid supporter of human rights his greying hair and beard frame a serious and shrewd face. As an intelligent and passionate politician, he can be relaxed and casual when campaigning but when he puts on a suit and tie, Jeremy has a slightly debonair look, reminiscent of James Bond, maybe that explains why so many women have married him!

David Cameron exudes an air of confidence and success. The former British Prime Minister has a slightly boyish appearance and a cheeky chin dimple that is hard to resist. As an attendee of Eton, David is well educated and his pleasant speaking voice and accent draw many people to him.
Something that is not initially obvious about David, is that he is quite tall, standing at 6’1”. This height paired with his boyish good looks, dark hair, and smooth English accent makes him very attractive.
8. Sadiq Khan
Sadiq Khan’s charming smile and charismatic personality made him a hit with voters. He is very well groomed and is usually seen wearing a stylish suit and has neat short hair. It is this hair that makes him look eye-catching.
With a darker skin complexion, Sadiq’s greying hair makes a stunning contrast to the rest of his face and sharply highlights his features. Wide eyes and a square jaw complete his look, and even though Sadiq is relatively short, he is a pleasant-looking man.

Nigel’s strong opinions and rebellious spirit make him attractive but his looks do not work for everyone. Nigel has been compared to everything from a cartoon character to a scrambled egg, and with his expressive facial features, it is easy to see why.
Nigel may look like a bit of a character but he is an accomplished political leader who is known for making impassioned speeches. When he is not on the political stage, Nigel makes many public appearances and is always ready with a smile. It is this wide, expressive smile that makes him appealing.
10. Michael Gove
Despite his somewhat nerdy appearance, Michael Gove’s intelligence and ambition shine through. With a round face and glasses, he has a pleasant and bookish look that may appeal to people who appreciate intellect in a partner. Michael is also pretty tall, standing at 6 feet in height.
Even with height on his side, Michael may not be considered ‘good looking’ in the traditional sense but his tall lean physique and smart-looking appearance will be attractive to certain people.
The list above may not be extensive but it includes some of the most prominent male politicians in the UK in 2022. These men, physically appealing or not, have influenced the way of life for millions and will likely to do so in the coming years. Whether we like them or not is a matter of personal preference but the first impression they have made is likely to remain. And it is formed subconsciously within the first seconds of seeing a new face.
