The UK-based gambling company Rank Group Plc has revealed that it has made a couple of key leadership appointments at two of its core businesses – the Grosvenor Casino and Mecca Bingo.
The two new additions to the group’s management team were welcomed by the Chief Executive Officer of Rank Group Henry Birch, who greeted them, saying that both of them were strong leaders and them heading the two core units of the company will be beneficial for Rank.
The Rank Group announced that Martin Pugh is to take over the position of Managing Director of the Grosvenor Casino unit of Rank Group. He is to replace Mr. Mark Jones on top of the Grosvenor brand, who has decided to leave the company in August this year after spending the last seven years at Rank. Mr. Pugh has vast professional experience. He has served at a Chief of the Mecca Bingo brand for two years before taking over the position of the casino brand’s leader.
The other new addition to the company’s executive team is the appointment of Alan Morgan as Managing Director of Ran’s Mecca Bingo. Mr. Morgan is known as an individual with great professional value. He also has extensive experience in the leisure industry and has last served as Chief Operating Officer at the Spirit Pub Company in the period from 2011 to 2016.
Mr. Birch said that he was very happy that Mr. Martin Pugh was to be on top of the leading brand Grosvenor Casinos, especially after the bingo retail business Mecca had posted a successful performance lately. The Chief Executive Officer of the Group revealed he expected Mr. Pugh to consolidate the business’ success and help the casino brand make a sustainable performance. In addition, he shared that the entire team of the Group rely on Mr. Pugh to put his efforts in order to keep the fantastic growth of the company’s digital channel.
As long as the Mecca Bingo brand was concerned, the Chief Executive Officer Mr. Birch welcomed Mr. Alan Morgan as part of the team, describing the latter’s appointment as a valuable addition to the executive team of the Group. He added that the extensive experience of Mr. Morgan in managing a multi-site business gave him enough confidence to believe that the new Chief of the division would be great at his new position at the company’s core asset. Mr. Birch also shared his hopes that the new Chief of the bingo retail business would lead Mecca Bingo to even greater success in the future, and would offer an ambitious plan for the business’ consolidation.
