Videoslots Affiliates Promises to Bring Stats Back Following Harsh Criticism

Last month, Casino Guardian reported about the strong criticism faced by the casino affiliate program of Videoslots Casino, called Videoslots Affiliates. The Videoslots Affiliates reputation has been put at stake after a discussion over the fairness and transparency of the program has been started at the platforms of both the Affiliate Guard Dog (AGD) and GPWA.

As we have explained before, the affiliate program of Videoslots Casino zeroed out the Active Players and Unique Depositors, so many affiliates stood up and blamed the program for not being clear and transparent enough in regards to the way their revenue is calculated.

A fierce discussion has been formed, with Ali Atam, Head of the Acquisition department at Videoslots Affiliates, finally taking part in the discussion at AGD. Mr. Atam explained that nothing had been changed in the way the affiliate program worked, but admitted that communication with customers could have been clearer. She also said that the percentage of the operational costs amounted to 25% and the cost of the license fee was split, so that affiliates paid only their part of the total license fee cost.

Some affiliates were worried if charging fees are imposed on them, as there was a controversy between the information displayed on the casino’s cashback pages and what the Videoslots Affiliates Terms & Conditions states. However, Mr. Atam brought some clarity on the matter, saying that only the paid out amount to the player is deducted from affiliates, so that the latter are not charged twice for anything.

Despite the fact that the Head of the Acquisition department at Videoslots Affiliates was addressing the affiliates’ questions and kept information straight to the point, there were some AGD users who expressed their doubt in Videoslots’ affiliate program until all issues were officially straightened. Mr. Atam, however, insisted that even though affiliates were stripped of the stats details a few years ago, this was not a reason good enough to put the program in the Rogue section. She also said that kind of information had always been given if requested, but agreed with affiliates that full transparency was the only way for VideSlots from now on.

Affiliates’ Reactions

As mentioned above, despite the fact that Mr. Asam brought some clarity on certain questions, Videoslots’ affiliates seem to remain with mixed feelings. Many agreed that such details should have been brought to light a lot earlier, as some simple but still important issues remained unanswered for months after the statistics were removed in late 2016.

According to some, the problem could have been fixed a lot earlier, especially considering the fact that many affiliates were given the impression that they would no longer to receive information regarding the stats. This, according to them, was particularly disturbing, especially when it comes to an operator that normally has good reputation among player communities.

Some affiliates commented on the system used by Videoslots’ program to charge them, saying that affiliates are actually being charged with unregulated fees. They also claimed that the program has not provided them with thorough and detailed information about the deductions being made from their Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR). They challenged the official representatives of the Videoslots Affiliates to be more specific, saying such deductions are not commonly seen across all affiliate programs.

So, no matter the willingness for cooperation demonstrated by Mr. Asam, the question whether an affiliate program such as the Videoslots’ one should risk its reputation by not being transparent enough still remains. Of course, Mr. Asam promised that every affiliate who send a request for a breakdown containing all real data from their account as well as detailed information about their costs, and this is certainly a start.

Most affiliates themselves shared they appreciated the fact that Videoslots Affiliates are trying to clear things a but, and expressed their hopes that the problem would be finally solved, with the program providing the stats details.

Last week, Mr. Asam also provided an update on the issue, saying that Videoslots Affiliates will make information such as Deposits, NGS, GGR, etc. visible and the development team is currently working to do this possible. She also explained that there may be some updates aimed at providing affiliates with more detailed information about their statistics.

The team of Casino Guardian will keep you up to date with the latest details on the matter. We would also appreciate some comments and opinions from the parties involved.
