BetVictor Announces Online Poker Offerings Closure

BetVictor, a leading iGaming operator has decided to cease its online poker offering as of June 7th, becoming the latest company that has eliminated this gaming option from its website. Once the BetVictor website is loaded, players will find a handful of casino and sports betting options, but poker has obviously been removed from the featured gaming content provided by the brand.

The sudden closure of the brand’s poker operations marked the second significant departure of a skin from Microgaming Poker Network, after PKR also left the network a few weeks ago along with one quarter of the player pool. Now, the leading iGaming operator is leaving MPN after a 5-year collaboration.

The online poker customers of the brand have received a brief e-mail notice by the company, which announced that BetVictor poker offering would be closed with immediate effect. BetVictor also gave its poker customers the opportunity to withdraw their balance until June 7th, or if not, to transfer it to its Casino or Sports Betting services wallet. The brand also expressed its gratitude to its players, thanking them for the loyalty over the years. It also provided a more detailed notice featuring a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section regarding the poker section closure.

Previously, the poker option offered by BetVictor existed as a skin on the Microgaming Poker Network (MPN). After it has recently left the afore-mentioned network, some industry experts have been expecting it to re-appear on another network.

Not only did not it been restored, but it seems that the Gibraltar-based online gaming operator will not be offering poker any more, or at least for the time being. The customers who already have poker accounts with BetVictor will be redirected to other online products of the operator and will be recommended to reconnect with the online balances they have already accumulated.

As mentioned above, the company provided a more detailed FAQ section in regard to the poker offering removal and the transition of its customers’ accounts to the brand’s remaining offering.

The FAQ section was first published at the KrackedKings poker affiliate forum. Apart from suggesting its customers to transfer their funds to other available services, BetVictor also emphasized on the fact that there was no risk of losing the accumulated balances. The company further explained that all remaining balances at the point of closure will be transferred to a Casino or Sports Betting wallet.

In addition, the iGaming services provider explained that customers will not have the chance to exchange their non-cashable points, if any, for cash, but they will be able to use these points to buy-in to tournaments at a certain rate. On the other hand, any unused tickets could be exchanged for cash until poker operations of BetVictor were officially closed. The unused tickets could be used until the official closure of poker operations, too.

What is more, payments for rake generated in May would be received on June 1st, while payment for rake generated between June 1st and 7th would be made on June 7th. BetVictor also revealed that poker affiliates would still receive their commissions after they submit an invoice for the commissions owed in May until June 5th. Then, another invoice is required to be submitted by July 5th for the commissions owed in June. Affiliate accounts would not be closed down, but BetVictor Poker affiliates will receive commissions for making new referrals on the company’s Casino and Sports Betting products.
