GIG Continues Nordic Region Expansion by Inking Another Affiliate Acquisition Deal

The market-leading online gaming solutions provider Gaming Innovation Group Inc. (GIG) revealed that it had agreed to take over all assets in one of the largest networks in Scandinavia through its subsidiary Innovation Labs. The company is to acquire Skt Marketing Ltd at the total prize of NOK204 million.

This is the fourth affiliate takeover deal for Gaming Innovation Group in 2017 so far, with the company managed to rank among the leading players at the Nordic market as far as the latter’s affiliate segment is concerned.

As revealed by the company itself, GIG shared its expectations for the positive impact of the acquisition on its overall performance. The operator explained that the acquired assets are expected to account for EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation) estimated to more than €7 million over the first 12 months after the deal is finalised. As estimated by the company in advance, approximately 70% of the EBITDA is projected to be generated from continuous revenue share deals. The affiliate network is planned to be integrated into the marketing platforms and BI/Data proprietary systems of Innovation Labs.

As revealed by Gaming Innovation Group, the affiliate network acquisition is to be settled mainly with proceeds from the bond issue made by the company back in February. The first half of the settlement is sue at closing, and the remaining part of the agreements are expected to be finalised in December 2017. The deal would need to get the final board approval.

The Chief Executive Office of Gaming Innovation Group Robin Reed commented on the affiliate network acquisition, saying that making Innovation Labs subsidiary the biggest lead generation business in the online gaming industry had become a paramount priority for the company. He also said that the operator had managed to establish a leading position in the Nordic affiliate market, and further explained that the Stk Marketing acquisition would be carried out in line with the previous ones initiated by the company. According to Mr. Reed, the deal would help Innovation Labs reach more customers in the business-to-business sectors and draw benefit from the Gaming Innovation Group’s expansion.

The Innovation Labs subsidiary of Gaming Innovation Group is a fast-growing online marketing company which operates in the online gaming sector.

As mentioned above, three other affiliate transactions have been carried out by Gaming Innovation Group since the beginning of 2017. All of them are expected to help the company boost its early EBITDA with about €13 million over the first 12 months after the deals’ closings.

At mid February, the company inked its first affiliate network acquisition deal for 2017. The assets were acquired from an undisclosed global affiliate network company. Then, on March 10th, it announced its largest affiliate takeover deal for the time being, laying hands on the affiliate website Casinotopsonline.com. A month later, in April 2017, it continued its European affiliate expansion by signing an acquisition deal with a highly-regarded affiliate network that is expecially oriented towards sportsbook customers in the region of Germany, Switzerland and Austria (the so-called DACH region).
