History

The Clermont Club was established in the 1960s. It was the first venue John Aspinall founded with the aim of hosting the British aristocracy and celebrities. At the beginning, the admissions for the club were based on applicants’ position in society. Some applicants were admitted because of their great gambling skills.

In 1972, the Club was acquired by Playboy. Now it belongs to an Asian casino mogul and expectations are similar luxurious venues to be established in Malaysia and Singapore in 2016.

Forty years after its establishment, the Clermont Club remains one of the most sought after gambling spots in London as it offers gambling and dining facilities that can be found nowhere else.

The casino has a unique architecture, which further adds to the notion it is one of the upper class gambling lounges in London.
