One of the top gaming companies worldwide, International Game Technology (IGT), announced it has appointed Fabio Celadon at the position of Senior Vice President of Gaming Portfolio. The new addition to the company’s team would report to the company’s Chief Executive Officer and would be responsible for a total of five areas of primary importance within the gaming organisation of IGT.
The Chief Executive Officer of IGT Marco Sala commented on the senior appointment, explaining that the fact that Mr. Celadon had over 15 years of professional experience in the global gaming industry thanks to the fact he worked in a number of management positions at IGT and its legacy companies, would be greatly beneficial at Celadon’s new position.
According to International Game Technology’s boss, the operational experience of Celadon combined with his knowledge about the global gaming industry and his perspectives for the future have made him the perfect addition to the management team of the company, especially in terms of its Gaming Portfolio.
The areas that Mr. Celadon would lead are the ones of global research, development and delivery consolidation, hardware and content roadmaps consolidation and execution, technological advancements and market and competitive trends, product performance and results as well as content portfolio improvement.
At the time when Mr. Celadon has been occupying the position of Senior Vice President of Group Strategy and Corporate Development for the predecessor companies of IGT, he was put on the lead of evaluating the the strategic growth initiatives and mergers and acquisitions initiated by the company.
Mr. Celadon also has experience working at several positions related to corporate development, strategy and finance positions, including serving as a Chief Financial Officer of Lottomatica in the period from 2002 to 2004. After GTECH was acquired by Lottomatica, he was relocated to the US to occupy the role of GTECH Vice President of New Market Development operations.
Before he joined the team of Lottomatica, Mr. Celadon served as a partner at the private equity firm Atlantis Capital Partners, and before that he was part of the Morgan Stanley’s mergers and acquisitions department team in London.
Most recently, Mr. Celadon has been serving at the position of Managing Director of IGT Greater China and Senior Vice President of IGT International. While occupying these positions, he bore responsibility for the management of business and operations of the company related to lotteries, video lotteries, sports betting, interactive and mobile gaming on the territory of Greater China. In addition, he was also entitled with the responsibility of managing and overseeing strategic development of International Game Technology not only on the territory of Greater China, but also in Japan and India.
