Revenue Performance
In July, Ontario’s online gambling sector recorded CA$311 million (US$226 million) in non-adjusted gross gaming revenue. This reflected a 29% increase over the previous year and a 1% gain compared to the previous month of June 2025. The July figure, however, did not surpass the all-time monthly high of $338 million set in May 2025.
Online casino operations contributed the majority of revenue, with $252.3 million—accounting for 81% of the market. Sports betting generated $52.7 million (17%), while online poker added $5.9 million, representing 2% of the total.
Wagering and Player Activity
Online stakes in July reached $7.56 billion, a 24% jump over July of the prior year and up 4% from June’s tally. Online casino play drove $6.74 billion (89% of all bets), with sports betting seeing $688 million and poker $139 million in wagers.
Active player accounts for the month totaled 948,000, a 6% decrease from June. Despite the dip in player numbers, the average revenue per account rose 8% over the prior month, totaling $328.
