NFA Grants FCM Registration

Performance Predictions, a subsidiary of SidePrize operating as PrizePicks, has secured futures commission merchant registration from the National Futures Association. With this new license, PrizePicks gains the ability to handle member orders involving the purchase and sale of futures contracts on designated contract markets regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

Industry Leadership and Regulatory Compliance

“The honour of being the first sports entertainment platform to receive a FCM registration from the NFA is a testament to our industry-leading compliance and consumer protection programs that both the NFA and CFTC demand,” said Mike Ybarra, CEO of PrizePicks.

“Acting chairman Caroline Pham’s vision for the CFTC promotes innovation while reinforcing the importance of strong regulatory standards. Her leadership has set a thoughtful tone for the agency and our industry.”

Earlier this week, an announcement revealed that Allwyn intends to purchase a 62.3 percent interest in PrizePicks.
