Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson has vetoed a bill that was to prohibit Arkansas Alcoholic Beverage Control inspectors from enforcing laws that relate to gambling activities and the operation of gaming devices, such as video slot machines, within the territory of the state. Three gambling establishments operating within the state of Illinois have filed a lawsuit against the Illinois Gaming Board. The plaintiffs claim the Video Gaming Act that is in force on the territory of the state unfairly favours video gaming terminal owners to the disadvantage of gaming parlours. US casino operator Hard Rock International unveiled its plans to revive former Trump Taj Mahal casino, located in Atlantic City, and rebrand the property as its own casino and hotel complex. The US Supreme Court has given the Cowlitz Indian tribe the green light to open a gambling establishment near the small Washington town of La Center, located at the state border with neighbouring Oregon.
