The most recent 888Live Local event that is to take place is the 888 Summer Special with a prize pool of at least £100,000. The latter is literally just around the corner now, as it is to take place between July 7th and July 10th at Aspers Casino.
An official representative of 888poker announced that hundreds of poker players are expected to be attracted to the event that is to require a £500 entry. The 24 players that qualified for the 888 Summer Special through online satellites are also due to be present to the event.
The 888 Summer Special offers a structure including two opening days of the tournament on July 7th and 8th. The players are to begin their game with 30,000 chips. There will also be blind levels on the opening days, which will take place at intervals of 40 minutes that will be expanded to 60 minutes on both July 9th and July 10th.
Currently, players are no longer allowed to qualify for the tournament online, but they can do it at Aspers Casino which hosts several £40 qualifier for the event. The 888 Summer Special tournament is also open to players on relatively tight budget, who will be given the chance to get in over the weekend in the one-day £110 888 Summer Special Saturday Side Event. The latter allows them to do up to two re-entries over the late registration period.

Mr. Scanton said that Aspers Casino fully understood how strong the positions of 888 were in the UK market, which had been one of the reasons to start doing business with them.
He also explained that the casino was ready to consider various future partnerships, especially considering the favourable trends of poker development in the country.
