Ali Imsirovic Tops 2018 Poker Masters Purple Jacket Rankings Following Two Consecutive Victories

The US poker pro Ali Imsirovic remains among the players with the best odds of winning the 2018 Poker Masters iconic purple jacket, after two consecutive victories in the fifth and sixth events of this year’s edition of the series.

On September 11th, Imsirovic took down the $25,000 No-Limit Hold’em event, taking home the lion’s share of the prizepool. But the $462,000 was just not enough for Imsirovic, who was crowned as the $50,000 No-Limit Hold’em event’s champion on the next day, September 12th, scooping $799,000 in prize money.

The two consecutive victories significantly boosted the player’s total live earnings, which currently amount to $2,404,499. In addition, the champion’s title of the $50,000 NLHE event brought him the largest live cash in his career so far and rocketed his chances of winning the iconic purple jacket of the Poker Masters series. Now, only a few hours before the outcome of the series’ $100,000 Main Event, it is Imsirovic who is on top of the Purple Jacket leaderboard.

Imsirovic Wins 2018 Poker Masters Event #5

Ali Imsirovic was one of the six players who reached the final table of the $25,000 No-Limit Hold’em event and competed for the largest prizepool ever seen in the Poker Masters series. It was a quick victory, as it took him only three hours to eliminate all his opponents and emerge as the event’s champion after a heads-up play against the triple WSOP gold bracelet winner Ben Yu.

The US player faced the fierce competition of five other poker pros, including Daniel Negreanu, Brian Rast, Jason Koon, Jake Schindler and Ben Yu.

After the 2018 Poker Masters Event #5, Ali Imsirovic was sharing the third place in the series’ Purple Jacket Rankings with Ben Yu, with Brandon Adams and Issac Haxton on the first and second position, respectively. The ranking, however, has changed ever since.

PM Event #6 Victory Brings Imsirovic Largest Career Cash

Mere hours ago and only a day after him winning the $25,000 NLHE event, Ali Imsirovic emerged victorious from the 2018 Poker Masters’ $50,000 No-Limit Hold’em event, which brought him the largest cash prize in his career. Imsirovic managed to overcome the competition once again, defeating another live poker tournament ace – Koray Aldemir – and bagged a prize of $799,000.

At the time when the final table was formed, Imsirovic had more than half of the chips in play in his possession. He faced a number of brilliant poker players at the final table of the event, including Justin Bonomo, Jake Schindler, Seth Davies, Sam Soverel and Koray Aldemir, who eventually remained on the runner-up position after the heads-up clash with Imsirovic.

Apart from the title and the lion’s share of the event’s prizepool, the end of the day also brought Imsirovic another small personal victory, as the result reshuffled the 2018 Poker Masters Purple Jacket Rankings. It is now Ali Imsirovic who tops the ranking, having a steady lead to Brandon Adams, who comes second in line. Isaac Haxton is third, followed by Jake Schindler and Ben Yu.
