Holland Casino to Host WSOP International Circuit in 2017

The World Series of Poker, which is currently not only the largest, but also the oldest poker event on a global scale, is heading to the Netherlands. All poker lovers in the country will be able to enjoy the tournaments and events included in the Series from 2017.

The WSOP organisers officially announced that the Holland Casino has reached a one-of-a-kind agreement with Caesars Interactive Entertainment, where the WSOP International Circuit Series is to be organised on an annual basis. According to the organisers’ announcement, the Holland Casino in Rotterdam is to host the WSOP Circuit in the Netherlands in the autumn of 2017.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Holland Casino Erwin van Lambaart commented on the deal, saying that everyone at the casino were thrilled with the fact they would work in collaboration with the largest and most reputable poker brand on a global scale. Mr. Van Lambaart explained that the World Series of Poker would be an excellent addition to the vast range of poker tournaments hosted by the casino, not to mention the fact that it is an event of both national and global importance for the poker world.

As already mentioned above, the WSOP Las Vegas is the largest poker event in the world. It also has the longest history so far, so that it has reached a stage at which it includes more than fifty tournaments. In addition, its Main Event has an international value, and the winner is considered as the world champion of poker. The International Circuit Series of the WSOP currently takes place at a total of 14 locations worldwide, adding the Holland Casino in Rotterdam to its schedule.

Players who intend to take part in the tournaments included in the Rotterdam stop of the Series should be aware of the fact that the winner of the Main Event and the leader board winner will be qualified directly for the Global Casino Championship.

The Director of Events at the World Series of Poker Gregory Chochon also commented on the agreement with the Holland Casino, saying that the latter was known as a venue capable of organising large events of a great prestige such as the Master Classics of Poker. Mr. Chochon shared his pride to be working in a collaboration with a casino of such reputation and said that the team of the WSOP was looking forward to seeing more Dutch players take part in the series.
