Live Poker Tournaments Scheduled to Kick Off in UK and Ireland in May

May is just around the corner now, offering a great variety of live poker options for all fans of the game in England and Ireland. The upcoming month is to offer a whole plethora of poker events, tournaments and festivals, all of the offering different buy-in options and attractive prize pools.

There are various poker tournaments and events scheduled to kick off in May, so poker lovers should look up the schedule below and choose their favourite events to join this May.

The first event to start at the beginning of the month is the 2017 Genting Poker Series Mini – Leg 7 that is to take place between May 1st and May 7th. The event is part of the latest season of GPS and is to be hosted at the Genting Casino Blackpool. The £220 buy-in No Limit Hold’em Main Event offering a guaranteed prize of £35,000 is to be preceded by a £25 Big 10 Satellite which features 10 main event seats guaranteed.

The upcoming month is to host Leg 8 of the 2017 Genting Poker Series. It is to be hosted at the Genting Club Westcliff in Westcliff-On-Sea from May 15th to May 21st. The Main Event that is to be featured by Leg 8 offers players a massive guaranteed prize pool of £100,000 plus an affordable buy-in of £440.

A total of four events of the Grosvenor 25/25 Series are planned to kick off in Ireland and the UK. First, the one at the Grosvenor Portsmouth Gunwharf is to start on May 4th, offering three Day 1s and then one final day of the £220 NLHE event to end on May 7th. May 11th will see the next Grosvenor 25/25 Series event start at the Grosvenor Casino in Bradford, with a buy-in of £220 and a guaranteed prize estimated to £25,000 offered to players.

From May 11th to May 14th, another Grosvenor 25/25 Series event is to start. It is to be hosted at the Grosvenor Casino in Cardiff and also offers a £25,000 guarantee. Last but not least, Dundee’s Grosvenor G Casino is to become home of the last event from the Grosvenor 25/25 series the UK and Ireland in May. The £220 buy-in event is to start on May 18th to end three days later, in May 21st.

One of the most-awaited events, PokerStars Megastack London, is to also kick off on May. The event is scheduled to take place at London’s Hippodrome Casino from May 5th to May 7th as part of the PSLIVE Season 1 and PSMEGA Season 1. Players would be able to join the £170 No Limit Hold’em – PokerStars Megastack event, as well as a £330 High Roller tournament and a £110 NLHE – Cheap & Deep event.

The Hippodrome Casino in London will host another PokerStars Live London Series from May 25th to 28th, with the first day featuring the £38 Satellite to the London Series.

The UK players would be also given the opportunity to join the Bristol Rainbow Poker Masters Series 17 from May 5th to 7th. The poker series, offering a total of three events, will be hosted at Rainbow Castle in Bristol. Then, between May 11th and 14th, the Super Stack Scotland is to start as part of the SPS Season 2017. The two-day event will offer four Day 1s with buy-ins of £170.

The Mini Monthly Special at the Grosvenor G Casino in Reading is the perfect event for players who prefer to play with lower bankrolls. The event, which costs only £66, offers a guaranteed prize pool amounting to £5,000 and is to kick off on May 14th.

One of the most attractive tournament on the territory of the UK and Ireland in May 2017 is undoubtedly Leg 5 of this year’s edition of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT), which is to be held from May 21st to May 28th at the Grosvenor G Casino in Reading as part of the GUKPT Season 11. The tournament offers several events with various buy-ins and guarantees, including a Mini Main Events featuring a £10,000 guaranteed prize pool, a £82 buy-in Pot Limit Omaha 4/5/6, a £110 No Limit Hold’em – Bounty, as well as of course the Main Event, which offers an enormous guaranteed prize pool of £100,000.

The end of the month, May 25th to 28th, will see the 888Live London Local kick off at the Aspers Casino Westfield Stratford in London. The organisers of the event are still expected to provide the full schedule for the tournament, which guaranteed prize pool is estimated to £88,000.
