888Live Festival heads to one of the most beautiful European capital cities for its third edition. The Festival is set to kick off at Gran Casino de Barcelona on May 11th and run for eleven days until May 22nd. Over that period of time, it is to feature a great variety of events, which are to attract some of the biggest names among the contemporary poker pros.
As mentioned above, a large number of events is to be held over 888Live Festival Barcelona, with a combined guaranteed prize pool which exceeds €700,000. Some of the highlights in the Festival’s schedule are undoubtedly the Opening Event, the High Roller event and of course, the Main Event with a €500,000 guaranteed prize pool.
888Live Festival Barcelona is to start with the Turbo Satellite to the Opening Event 1A, and of course, with the €220 Opening Event Day 1A which is to feature a guaranteed prize pool of €100,000, as well as 30,000-chip starting stack, 2 re-entry option and a chance for late registration. Three more Day1s of the Opening Event, with the last of them being a Day 1D TURBO, are to be available before the event’s FINAL on May 14th.
Gran Casino de Barcelona is to host the €88 buy-in Thunder event, which offers a guaranteed prize of €10,000, on May 12th. Then, on May 13th, players will be able to join the €110 Breeze event with a guaranteed prize pool estimated to €20,000. Apart from the Opening Event’s Final, May 14th will see the High Noon Turbo and The Hurricane events kick off.
A number of other events, including The Swordfish event, The Turbo Deepstack event and The Lightning 8-Max event, are expected to start from May 15th to 17th. A two-day High Roller Event is to kick off on May 17th, featuring a buy-in of €2,200 and a guaranteed prize of €100,000. Also, a Mega Knockout, Omaha Pot Limit, The Whale and Ladies Event will be available in the period from May 19th to May 21st.
Undoubtedly, one of the most-expected events at the 888Live Festival Barcelona is the Main Event, which Day 1A is to start on May 18th. The Main Event offers a buy-in of €1,100, a 30,000-chip starting stack, and a massive guaranteed prize pool of €500,000. Several Day 1s would also be available, with Day 2 of the event set to start on May 21st, and the ME Final Day scheduled for May 22nd.
As mentioned above, some of the largest names in the contemporary world of poker are expected to join the Festival, with several members of Team 888 being confirmed, including Dominik Nitsche, Kara Scott, Sofia Lovgren, Bruno Politano, Natalie Hof, Bruno Kawauti and Nicolau Villa-Lobos. Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi is also expected to come to Barcelona for the event, along with Patrik Antonius and Will Kassouf.
