Live Poker Tournaments to Begin in January in the UK and Ireland

The New Year is to start with a lot of excitement on the live poker tournaments arena in the UK and Ireland. The first month of 2018 is to see a number of live poker events and tournaments start on the territory of Ireland and the UK, offering various buy-ins, options and prize pools.

Some of the most popular UK and Irish casinos are to host a variety of events to suit the needs and preferences of the local live poker lovers and guarantee the best gaming experience. Here is what you can expect:

January 2018 Monthly Specials

Several monthly special events are to be featured in England in January 2018. All of them are to be held as one-day events, offering different buy-ins and cash prizes.

The first two monthly special events have already been held yesterday (January 1st). First, it was the One Day Special event which took place at Luton-located Grosvenor G Casino. The No Limit Hold’em event featured a buy-in of £135, as well as a guaranteed prize pool estimated to £18,000. The other event which was held on January 1st was the Special Tournament at Reading’s Grosvenor G Casino. Being structured as a one-day NLHE event, it offered an affordable £67 buy-in and the guaranteed prize pool featured amounted to £5,000.

Three other special events are to take place until the end of the month in the UK. The first one of them is to be hosted at the Grosvenor G Casino in Reading on January 14th, offering a buy-in of £60 as well as a guaranteed prize pool of £4,000.

Then, two monthly special events are to follow in the same casino venue, with the first one of them scheduled for January 27th, and the other one set to be held on January 31st. The first one of them is to offer a £110 buy in and a guaranteed prize pool amounting to £10,000. The other one, which is to take place at the end of the month, features a £60 buy-in and a £4,000 guaranteed prize pool.

partypoker LIVE Series

January 2018 is to see another part of the partypoker LIVE (PPL) Season 1, with the partypokerLIVE Grand Prix Dublin taking place at the Green Isle Hotel. The tournament is start on January 4th and is set to end on January 7th.

The event is to be held as a two-day NLHE event with four starting flights, offering a buy-in that amounts to €100 and a guaranteed prize pool of €100,000. The final day of the event is to be held on January 7th.

Grosvenor 25/25 Series

The Grosvenor 25/25 Series is also to be held in January 2018.

A two-day NLHE event with three starting flights from the 25/25 Series is to take place from January 11th to January 14th at the Grosvenor G Casino in Reading.

The live poker tournament offers a £225 buy-in as well as a £25,000 guaranteed prize pool.

PokerStars Series

One of the most popular poker brands on a global scale – PokerStars – is to have two of its series represented at the beginning of the year.

First, it is the PokerStars Megastack Ulster event which is to take place as part of the PSLIVE Season 2018 and PSMEGA Season 1 at the City North Hotel in Gormanstown from January 12th to 14th. The Megastak Ulster tournament will offer a massive guaranteed prize pool of €30,000 in return to a €170 entry.

Then, PokerStars Festival London is set to take place, offering a really great variety of live poker events and tournaments. The Festival is to be held from January 22nd to 28th at the iconic Hippodrome Casino in London as part of the PSFEST Season 2 and PSLIVE Season 2018. Poker lovers are to be given a chance to choose from a great variety of events, all of which offer different buy-ins and guaranteed prize pools, as well as a variety of options.
